In the 1980s, Robert Zemeckis was Steven Spielberg's protege. Now, he deserves to be celebrated as not only one of Spielberg's peers but one of Hollywood's finest contemporary Blockbuster filmmakers. This evening not only celebrates one of the most entertaining and creatively designed franchises ever filmed, but is a genuine tribute to Mr. Zemeckis' entire career. From Used Cars (1980), to Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). From Contact (1997) and Cast Away (2000) to his under appreciated Denzel Washington vehicle Flight (2012). Yet none of them can top this truly spectacular summer extravaganza in which each sequel has its own particular genre delight (with the added bonus of Part II taking place in 2015!) Be prepared for a post-trilogy debate of which is your new personal favorite. ALL THREE FiLMS will be screened from New DCP presentations.
