TONiTE Friday, July 1st – Kurt Russell inhabits Snake Plisskin in John Carpenter’s profoundly prophetic ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK (DCP) + ESCAPE FROM L.A. (35mm). These two genre masterpieces will play as a double feature for the first time in any Bay Area movie theatre!
Followed by THiS Sunday, July 3rd – “Rowdy” Roddy Piper inhabits Nada in the most subversive film ever made, John Carpenter’s THEY LiVE (35mm). Followed by Carpenter’s debut parody of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 showcasing one of the funniest performance of the 1970s by Dan O’Bannon in DARK STAR (35mm). Monday is a holiday so you can stay out late on Sunday.
